The fish wanted to give it a hell yeah.

It kept the fish fed but made the tank really cloudy.

I have a question about the Aqueon Vacation Feeder. We were gone for a week and returned to find algae growing on the feeder block. Is this normal?

Bought to feed fish while on vacation, worked perfectly

I am a little upset with myself… I read the reviews and I saw others comments about cloudy water and slime, but in my hubris thought I would give it a try. I have an 250 gallon outdoor pond with a pond filter good up to 1000 gallons… it should not be a problem to control.
Wow! I was so wrong. I did a test. I put ONE of these in my pond yesterday afternoon.
I came out this morning I felt like where’s Waldo? What a mess. I could barely see any glimpse of my fish, just orange yellow shadows. I feel horrible for them. I had to spray my filter pump off to remove the excess slime, and I can not express how completely grossed out I was when I took my filter apart to clean the sponges. All three large sponges were saturated in a thick slime. I am positive I will have to repeat this process over the next couple of days.
In the products defense, the water flow in my pond could have dissolved it faster than a normal aquarium causing this debacle.
If you have an outdoor pond, I would definitely not use.

Worked as described, fish were happy and after it was removed, the fish kept looking for it. Would have lasted longer than 7 days, and will definitely use again.
